About Us
Nearly wild camping... the traditional way.
What is Wild Camping?
Wild camping consists of travelling light and with the bare neccessities required, i.e a small tent, sleeping bag and mat, gas stove, food, water, spare clothing and then heading off to a remote location, pitching up at dusk, leaving at dawn and being discreet.
Nearly Wild camping is ideal for those who are looking for a wilder and quieter camping experience in natural surroundings where you can switch off and re-connect with nature. Where normal campsites tend to be just plain fields that are often busy with lots of campers and background noise, 'Nearly Wild' Campsites are quite the opposite. This type of camping will appeal to those who want to respectfully enjoy nature and camp responsibly, following the 'Leave No Trace' principles, taking nothing but photos and leaving nothing but footprints.
